RockMeadow Equestrian Center is conveniently located just 25 minutes from downtown Seattle, and near the major Eastside communities of Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Issaquah, and North Bend. Our Equestrian Center is located in the beautiful city of Sammamish, WA. on the east side of Lake Sammamish on the Pine Lake Plateau.
Interesting Historical Facts:
Originally part of a 100 acre plot homesteaded in 1864 by Peter Prilliman, the farm was sold in 1907 to Finnish emmigrants, Edward and Hilma Erickson. They cleared the land by hand using horse teams and established one of the richest chicken farms in Washington known as " The Erickson Farm". They also operated a Dairy and Cattle Ranch. The Farm was sold in 1965 and leased to one of the Erickson sons for about 10 years. In 1975, Bill Henry puchased the property and renamed it, Shiloh Horse Farm. Purchased in 1986 by Deborah Ritchie, she remains the owner today.
